COVID-19

Home learning

Even though schools are currently closed to the majority of students, we want to make sure that every pupil’s education continues. This will happen through home learning. Our dedicated teaching staff will still be available to support pupils during this time.

Our schools have published information about home learning on their websites.

Some of our secondary schoosl are using Show My Homework to access the home learning provided and have provided families with information about how to access this.

September Opening
The ambition for schools is to have all pupils back in school in the autumn term, and the Trust will be monitoring the latest guidance from government as it is published throughout the summer to support this.
The model for our schools to resume in the autumn term, is as follows:
WC: 24th August, staff will return to schools, focusing around making the school COVID secure, reviewing risk assessments, inducting staff to new models of working following updated guidance.
WC: 1st September, Partial opening week to allow time for transition activities and assessment in smaller groups.  Classes will be invited into the school at different points in the week to spend time with their teacher before all classes return; at this stage, it is likely to be that each class will return for 1 day this week. This will be confirmed and communicated closer to the new term once further guidance is received.
WC: 7th September, pupils to resume classes full time.
