In March 2025, we welcomed a team of experienced peer reviewers from Challenge Partners for a Trust-wide review. Over three days, they visited several of our schools, held in-depth discussions with staff and pupils and explored how we work together across the Trust to make a positive difference to the lives of our young people.

We are proud to share that the review team were overwhelmingly positive about what they saw and heard. The full report praises the strength of our values-driven approach, the dedication of our staff, the clarity of our strategy, #Mead2030, and particularly our commitment to equity, inclusion, oracy and staff development.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff, pupils and governance community who contributed to the review.

Here are a few highlights from the report:

Excellent and equitable education

“Students across Mead secondary schools were able to speak confidently, with passion about what their school means to them and the difference it makes to their lives.”

School Improvement

The Trust’s school improvement approach is strong and well-structured which is evidenced by the achievements and successes of the schools, as measured by a wide range of metrics.”

 Developing the workforce

“There is a thoughtful, comprehensive Trust strategy and offer, which enhances professional development across schools both within the Trust and beyond.”

Contribution to the sector

“A strong feature of the Trust is the relationships that have been established with a range of external agencies to support the communities they serve. #Mead2030 will continue this and further strengthen and expand these relationships and will have a significant positive impact.”
